Mediation Information
If you were unsuccessful
in your attempt to resolve your complaint directly with your
dentist, several options are available to you.
In some counties, the local dental society maintains a patient relations
committee. The committee of volunteer dentists will review your
complaint, contact your dentist and attempt to resolve your
case. You should be prepared to clearly identify exactly what you
want to satisfy your complaint. The patient relations process is
strictly voluntary.
Other dispute resolution options are available through professional
mediators. Professional mediators work both independently, as well as
through community mediation centers. Besides those listed on this
website, local alternate dispute resolution or community mediation
centers will be listed in your telephone directory.
Professional mediators are accessible through the Pennsylvania Council
of Mediators.
