PDA provides several resources to patients and the
public to ensure Pennsylvanians are informed consumers and have access
to quality dental care.
Patient
Relations Program
PDA patient relations committees review and resolve problems or
misunderstandings between dentists and their patients regarding dental
treatment. They do not mediate fee disputes.
Dental
Clinic Directory
PDA has worked to increase access to care for uninsured and underinsured
Pennsylvanians by compiling a list of free and reduced-fee dental
clinics in Pennsylvania.
Senior
Dental Care Plan
Many PDA member dentists offer dental care at a reduced cost to
senior citizens on low or fixed incomes through the Senior Dental Care
Program.

Patient

articles about common oral health topics.
Dental
Patient Bill of Rights
Maintaining healthy teeth and gums means more than just brushing and
flossing every day and visiting your dentist regularly. It also means
knowing your rights as a patient. With this in mind, PDA adopted
this Dental Patient Bill of Rights in 1998.
Insurance Bill
of Rights for Older Pennsylvanians (PDF
file)
For older Pennsylvanians at or near retirement, today’s vast array
of insurance products can be overwhelming. Because of sizable
“nest eggs” and good credit histories, older Pennsylvanians
can be particularly vulnerable to unscrupulous sales tactics. Become
familiar with your rights when purchasing insurance products by
reviewing the Insurance Bill of Rights for Older Pennsylvanians.
