Members' Lending Library
Frequently Asked Questions
How soon will my order be
Please allow two weeks for delivery. For faster delivery, special shipping arrangements are available at an extra cost. Orders are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
How many materials
may I borrow at a time?
You may borrow up to three videos, slide programs, CD-ROMs and books at a time, but only one continuing education video or DVD may be borrowed at a time. You may request no more than 40 of each brochure/pamphlet, with a maximum of four different titles per order. PDA may further limit the quantity shipped based on availability. Brochures are distributed to complement speaking engagements or other promotional events.
How long may I keep materials?
Materials are to be returned within two weeks. If you need to keep them longer, please contact Linda Platzer at (717) 234-5941, ext. 112. If arrangements to extend the loan time are not made in advance and the materials are not returned to PDA by the date printed on the invoice, you will be charged a $20 late fee per item.
How much does it cost?
PDA members may use the Members’ Library free of charge but will be charged the actual cost of shipping via common carrier plus a nominal handling fee. You are also responsible for the cost of returning materials.
How do I return the materials?
It is your responsibility to return materials to the PDA Central Office by the due date. It is highly recommended that you send the materials via common carrier, so the package can be tracked if something happens to it. If you return the materials via the U.S. Postal Service, it is strongly recommended that you insure the package. If insured, the U.S. Postal Service, not the borrower, should be held responsible for the replacement of damaged or lost item(s).
What if I am unsure
which item will be most useful?
If you don’t know which materials you need for the topic that interests you, contact the Communications Department at (717) 234-5941 and a staff member will be happy to make suggestions to assist you.
