Student Events

The Pennsylvania Dental Association holds evening outreach events for dental students at all three Pennsylvania dental schools.  PDA typically holds one event in the Fall and one in the Spring.  The events range from sporting events, to brew pubs, to comedy clubs and more.  Established dentists in the area are invited to answer the students questions and allow students to network.

Welcome Packets

These packets offer information on organized dentistry and a small gift to first-, second- and third-year dental students.

Farewell Packets

Graduating dental students receive a copy of PDA's publication, Practicing in Pennsylvania: A Guide for the New Dentist and a small gift.

FREE One-Year Enrollment in PDA’s Placement Service

This service offers a unique method of searching job opportunities that saves you time. Search results display open dentistry positions, salary requirements, education and employment history and more. Your search can show available positions statewide or you can limit your search to a specific region of the state.

Access to PDA’s Website

Students receive access to members-only content on PDA’s website where they can monitor current issues affecting the profession and PDA actions.

Student Voice

PDA provides funding for one delegate and one alternate delegate from each Pennsylvania dental school to attend PDA’s Annual Session. The three schools combine for one vote during voting sessions of the House of Delegates.

Electronic Transitions

To keep dental students apprised of happenings in organized dentistry, PDA creates and electronically distributes its newsletter, Transitions Extra, to all students for whom PDA has valid e-mail addresses. If you did not receive the last issue, contact PDA membership coordinator Melissa Carvajal to subscribe.
