2009 PDA Annual Session
The Fifth District is represented by 17 delegates and 17 alternate
delegates elected from the six local societies: Cumberland Valley,
Hanover-Gettysburg, Harrisburg Area, Mifflin-Juniata, York,
Lancaster. The Fifth District also sends one delegate
and one alternate delegate to the ADA Annual Session as well as
nominating other members for possible election to fill the at-large
delegate positions noted in the PDA Bylaws. This election occurs during
the PDA Annual Session in April.
The PDA Annual Session was held Thursday, April 23
through Sunday, April 26, 2009, at the Hotel Hershey. The hotel phone

alternate delegates must register. Please visit the Annual
Session page for more information.

2010 Fifth District Workbook Session
Will be held on Wednesday, March 31 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Four

2010 Fifth District Executive Board Meeting
Meeting called for TBA beginning at TBA at TBA. Please directly
contact Dr. Berstecher if you can not attend.
PDA Leadership Conference
The next PDA Leadership Conference is tentatively planned for
2011. This conference is for district and local presidents and
presidents-elects or other designated officers. Information to follow
from PDA. Watch the PDA Journal and the PDA website for
the latest information.
Fifth Distict By-laws and Constitution and Proposed By-Laws
Changes
At the 2009 5th District Annual meeting, the following changes to the
current 5th District By-laws were presented. They will be brought
up under old business at the 2010 annual meeting and voted upon then.
Please use this long interim time to discuss the proposed changes in
order to expedite the business meeting in Septemeber 2010.
