What led you to decide that this was the year you wanted to volunteer for office (PDA Officer or ADA Trustee) or volunteer to attend the ADA and represent the PDA (ADA Delegate or Alternate)?
As a general dentist for 33 years, who employs a Hygienist and an EFDA, I want to use my expertise as a solo practitioner who has made this practice model work, to inform decisions on patient care.
What is your specific area of interest within organized dentistry?
Having served (5) years on the PDA Council on Government Affairs, and as the PDA Liaison to ADPAC from 2004-08, I remain focused on governance, and how our profession can remain independent.
What is the main issue you see facing the ADA or PDA or Dentistry in general?
Who should determine your costs to operate? The person who invested the money for an education, equipment, etc., and worked Saturdays and evening hours? Or some entity that took none of this risk?
List experience that you have that you feel prepares you for this position.
Delegate to the (former) PDA HOD; President, Berks County Dental Society; President 4th District; Council on Government Affairs (1998-2003); ADPAC Liaison 2004-2008; Volunteer Faculty- Penn & Pitt SDM.
Why should you receive my vote?
In 2016, I ran (unsuccessfully) for US Representative to Congress, Pa 16th District. It is time for the General Dentist Community to engage and become part of our ADA leadership process! I Love it!
