Candidate for ADA Delegate

Dr. Joseph E. Ross

What led you to decide that this was the year you wanted to volunteer for office (PDA Officer or ADA Trustee) or volunteer to attend the ADA and represent the PDA (ADA Delegate or Alternate)?

My years of experience serving in the ADA House of Delegates.  I understand the challenges that we face on the national level.  I also want to help elect Dr.  Andy Kwasny ADA President-elect.

What is your specific area of interest within organized dentistry?

Membership has always been the top priority.  Without members and a good market share, all of the other areas are secondary.  We need to increase our market share.

What is the main issue you see facing the ADA or PDA or Dentistry in general?

Our membership market share, more government intrusion, interference from dental insurance carriers, dentist's lack of busyness.

List experience that you have that you feel prepares you for this position.

Former PDA Trustee, served on & chaired various PDA committees, Ninth District Dental Society offices, Lawrence County Dental Society offices.

Why should you receive my vote?

My experience, my ability to understand all aspects of an issue, and my rational thinking to reach a consensus.  Also, I enjoy working with our very knowledgeable and dedicated delegation.
