Candidate for ADA Delegate

Dr. Ronald H. Proctor

What led you to decide that this was the year you wanted to volunteer for office (PDA Officer or ADA Trustee) or volunteer to attend the ADA and represent the PDA (ADA Delegate or Alternate)?

I decided to the ADA Annual Session because of my interest in supporting organized dentistry and our Secretary's appeal for volunteers.

What is your specific area of interest within organized dentistry?

As the Dental Director at a FQHC Community Health Clinic, my specific area of interest is Community Health Centers and the so called barriers to dental care.

What is the main issue you see facing the ADA or PDA or Dentistry in general?

I feel the main issue facing the PDA today is a lack of participation by younger clinicians.

List experience that you have that you feel prepares you for this position.

I am a former PAGD State Director and currently serve as a DSWP Director.  I have been serving the past four years as President of my local Allegheny-Kiski Dental Society Branch.

Why should you receive my vote?

Based on my experience I can be a contributing and effective representative for Pennsylvania at the ADA Annual Session
