Candidate for ADA Delegate

Dr. Thomas W. Gamba

What led you to decide that this was the year you wanted to volunteer for office (PDA Officer or ADA Trustee) or volunteer to attend the ADA and represent the PDA (ADA Delegate or Alternate)?

I have not been a delegate for the past 2 years while I served as ADA Vice President. I would like to continue to represent PDA as an ADA delegate.

What is your specific area of interest within organized dentistry?

I am most interested in doing whatever I can to have the dentist remain as the leader of the dental team by advocating in the legislature to limit onerous regulations and unfavorable legislation.

What is the main issue you see facing the ADA or PDA or Dentistry in general?

There is more than one challenge facing our profession. Business in the dental office, mid-level  providers, student debt and declining membership are all concerns for us all.

List experience that you have that you feel prepares you for this position.

My leadership roles have been as ADA Vice President, 2 ADA Councils, PDA President, PDA Speaker for 5 years, PDA Trustee, President of my local and serving as an ADA delegate 13 times.

Why should you receive my vote?

I believe I have the experience, the leadership skills, full knowledge of the issues and the ability to speak cogently in front of the House. So I respectfully ask for your vote.
