Candidate for ADA Delegate

Dr. Kristianne Macaraeg

What led you to decide that this was the year you wanted to volunteer for office (PDA Officer or ADA Trustee) or volunteer to attend the ADA and represent the PDA (ADA Delegate or Alternate)?

As a recent grad with a strong background in organized dentistry through ASDA, it is very important to me to get involved early and familiarize myself with the ADA and legislation affecting our career.

What is your specific area of interest within organized dentistry?

Membership (specifically new dentists), ADPAC, and legislation affecting community dentistry and pediatrics.

What is the main issue you see facing the ADA or PDA or Dentistry in general?

Maintaining member dentists and staying united as one voice in Washington; with too many dental associations, the voice of the dental profession is not as strong and we need unite on issues.

List experience that you have that you feel prepares you for this position.

ASDA National Associate on the Council of Professional Issues and ADPAC Extern; ASDA District Community Service Outreach Chair and Counselor; ASDA Chapter President, Secretary.

Why should you receive my vote?

Although a recent grad and new dentist, I am very committed to organized dentistry and want to start getting involved early on in my career!
