Are employees mandated to wear radiation badges?

At any facility that has a Maximum Occupational Exposure Limit that is 5,000 millirem/year, employees must wear a radiation badge. If the Maximum Occupational Exposure Limit is under 5,000 millirem/year, employees are not required to wear radiation badges. If any individual employee has the possibility of receiving 1/10, or 500 millirems of the Maximum Occupational Exposure Limit, that employee must wear a radiation badge.
