DOH Issues Advisory – Detection of Measles in Wastewater (Delaware County)
The Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) issued a health advisory, “Detection of Measles in Wastewater, Delaware County” (2026 – PAHAN – 830 – 06-17-ADV), following the detection of measles RNA in untreated wastewater in Delaware County. Currently, there are no known clinical cases of measles of people residing in Delaware County. However, PA is experiencing an increase in measles cases in the southeast and southcentral regions of the state. See more here.
