Services: Community Dental is a full service dental provider offering a full range of general dentistry services and dental health education. Sliding Scale for Major Dental Services
Hours: All treatments are provided in private dental offices with initial examination and diagnosis at Fortis Institute Dental Hygiene Clinic, Scranton. Care includes a complete dental examination, x-rays, cleanings, restoration and extractions. Specialized services offered include endodontic, periodontal and oral surgery.
Patient Eligibility: Must be a Lackawanna County resident for at least six months and meet the financial requirements.
Services: Patients must submit an application. Once the application is accepted patients are scheduled for an appointment at the Fortis Institute Dental Hygiene Clinic including an exam, cleaning and X-Rays. If additional services are needed, patients are referred to a volunteer dentist in the area.
Fees: Payment for dental treatment is expected at each visit. We accept cash, check and credit cards (VISA, MasterCard) for payment of services. Please note that we do not have a sliding fee scale or provide free care. Payment is expected in full when the service is rendered.

Hours: The mobile dental program visits schools, early learning centers and neighborhoods providing each child with diagnostic, preventive and restorative dental care that includes examinations, cleanings, fluoride and sealant placement, X-rays, fillings, extractions and other restorative treatments. Outside of school visits the care mobile has night hours, day hours when schools are closed and extended summer hours when school is out.
Patient Eligibility: Online form to fill out. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile offers access to oral health care to children in the neighborhoods surrounding St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Children are eligible by the sole criteria of needing access to oral health care. A child is eligible to enter the program up through third grade and is offered comprehensive and continuous care until age 17 if maintaining an annual preventive visit.

The Care Mobile operates five days a week and is school-linked with over 70 public and parochial schools, Head Start, pre-school and day care programs.
