CE – Nitrous Oxide Sedation and Medical Emergencies (3 CE credits); Presented by Craig McKenzie, DMD, MSEd This course will discuss the administration of nitrous oxide/oxygen sedation and use patient-based scenarios to discuss anesthesia-related emergencies as well as other common emergency situations.
The three credit hours can be applied toward the hours needed to renew an Unrestricted Permit and Restricted Permit I. Or, applied toward the five hours required for non-permit holder licensees who maintain an office in which general anesthesia, deep sedation or conscious sedation is administered in the office.

Management of Acute Dental Pain and Appropriate Opioid Prescribing (3 CE credits);
Presented by Thomas A. Viola, RPh, CCP
This program will provide strategies for effectively managing dental pain with opioid and non-opioid analgesics and analgesic adjuvants, while also mitigating associated risks.
Special emphasis will be given to appropriate practices for prescribing analgesics as well as identification and treatment of opioid analgesic abuse. Satisfies PA Act 124 CE requirement.
