Oral Cancer Screening and Management Strategies
Six CE credits recommended for dentists and hygienists.
This lecture will review common oral mucosal diseases including oral cancer that maybe encountered in daily practice, as well as, review risk factors for oral cancer and oral potentially malignant disease. The lecture will review the complexities in the detection methods for diagnosis of oral potentially malignant disease, and review current surgical and non-surgical treatment strategies in treating those diseases. Finally, this course also will provide guidance on the pre-cancer treatment plan including the dental evaluation prior to anticipated cancer treatment and also describe the dental management of the oral cancer patient including long-term follow-up.
